Cats. Less maintenance and less work.

I love dogs, don't get the wrong idea. But dogs are harder to handle and they're probably stronger than I am.
Imagine if I had a hyper black Labrador and I'd take it out for a walk, I'd be dragged along with it rather than dragging it with me. 8/

I am willing to give up my sight. I just happen to realize that I don't want to loose my touch, hearing, smell and taste senses. It's fine if I loose my sight, just as long I don't loose the others.
